Liên hoan Khiêu vũ thể thao thanh thiếu niên toàn quốc 2010 bắt đầu từ ngày 12-6 tại Hà Nội thu hút 70 cặp vũ công hàng đầu đến từ Hải Dương, Hà Nội, TP Hồ Chí Minh, Hải Phòng, Nam Định.

Các cặp vũ công, chia làm các nhóm tuổi từ nhi đồng, thiếu niên đến thanh niên dưới 35 tuổi, thi đấu đua tài ở các nội dung thuộc hai thể loại: Latin (Chachacha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive) và Standard (Tango, Waltz, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot).
Các vận động viên cống hiến cho khán giả một chương trình biểu diễn khiêu vũ thể thao (Dancesport) sôi động và đầy kịch tính, có chất lượng chuyên môn cao.
Ban tổ chức giải cho biết, Liên hoan Khiêu vũ thanh thiếu niên toàn quốc 2010 là cơ hội tốt để phát triển phong trào khiêu vũ thể thao trên toàn quốc, tạo điều kiện cho các đôi nhảy Việt Nam có dịp cọ xát, tranh tài và học hỏi kinh nghiệm, kỹ thuật, nâng cao trình độ.
Thông qua các giải thi đấu này, các vũ công Việt Nam cũng có điều kiện chuẩn bị cho các giải đấu trong nước và quốc tế sắp tới.
